Travel specialty: Boating on the canals and rivers of Europe. Self skippered boats, barges, and inclusive river cruising. Performing tours for choirs attending festivals and competitions worldwide. Years in the business: 50 Education/qualifications: Janet worked in the UK for travel and tour operators and came to Canada in 1962 to work for Burritt Travel, a company that pioneered travel in the West. Alitalia Airlines brought her to Vancouver where she worked for the airline for several years. In the early 70's she headed up the West Coast office of Extended Education Programs a Toronto company that specialized in Student Travel. In 1976 Janet and her husband, John, founded Pavlik Specialized Tours Ltd and operated their own group tours. Music, Educational,Cruise groups were all featured under the "Neworld Discovery Programs" banner. However, the "Boating on the rivers and canals of Europe Programme" they wholesaled across Canada was certainly a niche that they became known for.
