George's Journal: a Collection of Articles Escape the White Rock 'Greys'! There comes a time once a year when it happens. The weather's still too nice right now to recall it, but you can remember last winter. You became short tempered. You snapped at everything. Your mind wandered to escape the rain. Everything became a chore and you thought to yourself, "Gadd, how I hate February. Get me outta here!" Have we an opportunity for you! Thanks to the badgering and insistence from many of our friends and clients we have put together a short and inexpensive get-away for you in February when the rains are getting to you. We're off to the Eastern Caribbean for a week's cruise with Holland America aboard the M.S. Westerdam and you are invited to join Heather and George and several friends and clients. We leave on February 19th and fly to Fort Lauderdale for one night's rest before we board our floating resort and begin our cruise to forget the rain. We're ready to go today. If a week spent cruising past some of the Caribbean's most beautiful beaches sounds like a great way to forget the weather, then you must come with us. St. John, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, is so idyllic that nearly a third of the island and much of its coral reef is protected as an U.S. National Park. So is Coki Point on St. Thomas, also in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where you may hand-feed some of the fattest, and friendliest reef fish in the Caribbean. But there is much more to enjoy. In Nassau, Bahamas, turn bronze on a white sand beach at the Blue Lagoon. In Puerto Rico, shed your shoes at lovely Luquillo Beach by day and kick up your heels in San Juan's lively Condado District that evening. And let's not forget our full day at Half Moon Cay, Holland America's private island in the Bahamas! So, come February, look forward to your escape. Imagine being pampered from sunup to sundown.
