Garden Tours
Vancouver and Victoria have, because of the temperate
climate, many private gardens that are seldom seen by the public. Now
is your opportunity to experience the creative side of landscaping by
joining Bell Tours on our new small group Garden Tours. Meet
the gardeners responsible for the design and maintenance of these lovely,
quiet retreats from the hustle and bustle of big city life. Different
gardens will be featured in different seasons.

On the south slope of the north shore mountains are gardens
that caught our interest. We shall visit 2 private home-based
gardens that are designed around the restrictions of the terrain
plus Park and Tilford Gardens, that has been a favourite of
Vancouverites for many years. Established in 1969, this garden
has matured into a delightful visual experience near the shores
of Burrard Inlet.

Our full day garden experience combines the
North Shore Gardens Tour with two of the University of British
Columbia gardens - the U.B.C. Botanical Gardens and the Japanese
styled Nitobe Gardens. Local gardeners appreciate these latter
two for their diversity of botanical delights, whether vegetables,
fruit or flowers. One hour will be allowed for lunch (meal not
included).

Known the world over as an English city of gardens,
Victoria has many private gardens that few ever see. We will select
two for each season to show you plus the Horticultural centre.
Add to this a walk in Beacon Hill Park to experience the sights
in this famous park and you have a terrific half-day tour of colour.

as soon as we are satisfied with the quality of the tours. |
