Questions and Answers About Bell Tours and Travel

What areas in the world does your 800 number work from? Our number is valid anywhere in North America, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Can you custom design a tour programme for our small family group? Certainly. We have a great reputation for custom designing a programme for both small and large groups. All we need is your input on what you like and wish to have included. We'll come up with an itinerary that will please everyone in your party. Our charge for this service is built into the tour price. Don't worry, we never overcharge!

Your address is in White Rock, B.C. Where is that in relation to Vancouver? The lovely coastal city of White Rock is at most, a one-hour drive from Vancouver in a southeast direction and is a wonderful place to live and work. We moved our home and office from Vancouver to sunny White Rock in 1976, and have had less rain during the year ever since. However, almost all of our tour staff live much closer to downtown Vancouver, or the airport, in order to best serve your F.I.T. clients and tour groups.

Is airport porterage included in your prices? No, we do not build this into our prices, as many groups do not take advantage of it. Luggage carts are complimentary in Vancouver and people use them. For incentive groups and more expensive tours porters are usually used and are charged on a per bag basis.

What is the charge the airports levy for coaches to load and unload? The Vancouver airport only has a charge if you are meeting a group.

How do our clients locate your Meet & Greet staff at the airport? The process is very simple, and as long as your clients are attentive and are aware that someone is looking for them, there should be no problem. For arrivals in the Domestic Terminal (flights within Canada only), our Greeter will meet them at the luggage carousel unless otherwise arranged. The Greeter will be holding a bright green sign with their name on it, the name of your tour company, or anything you request.

For flights arriving into Canada, clients must first pass through Canadian Immigration, then locate their luggage and pass through Canada Customs. After this last step, as they exit from the customs hall through frosted glass doors, our Greeter should be on the right side, holding a green sign. We can also hold signage provided by your company, under the condition that it is within the airport's size specifications/restrictions (basically 8.5" x 11"). Motor coaches can only be called up to the terminal once everyone has passed through Customs and is present with their luggage.

How do our clients locate your Meet & Greet staff at the cruise ship terminals? The process is much the same as at the airport, when exiting the customs area. As the clients leave the Customs Hall, our staff should be just beyond the exit door, holding a bright green "Bell Tours" sign with their name or your company name on it. Motor coaches can only be called up to the terminal once every body in the group is accounted for and present with their luggage.
